Operations:
General Recycling processes over 500 tons of ferrous and non- ferrous
material per day. There are two main components that contribute to this growing
figure:
- Delivered Material – Both our south side and west end locations
are stocked with the necessary equipment to make off-loading your truck or trailer
quick and simple. For large or awkward loads, visit our south side facility and
experience the ease of maneuvering with ample space for your vehicle - no matter
what size. Whether it’s by Magnet or Grapple, we have the means to get you on your
way quickly.
- Bin Service – General Recycling provides bin service
to over 3000 active accounts throughout Alberta. No scrap output is too large for
us to handle. Choose from a vast array of
bin sizes, or check out our trailers for those more demanding jobs. We understand
that clean work areas are crucial when maximizing productivity which is why we’ve
made our turn-around times a top priority and it shows in our level of customer
satisfaction. Call for availability in your area and open an account today.
The Cutting Edge of Scrap Processing...
Every pound of scrap that crosses our scales enters the recycling chain and it begins
right here on site. Mills and foundries pay premiums for sorted, more compact product,
denser material, and a variety of other formats. To meet this demand, General
Recycling continues to invest in better equipment, increased storage
facilities, and cleaner technology.
Our equipment consists of:
Hoe - mounted Hydraulic Shears
Turn large metal items into small recyclable pieces in minutes.
Rail Cars
We have our own 85-ton rail cars with direct access to the mill.
Car Crushers
Old vehicles are given proper disposal and the tires are also recycled.
Balers
All gauge material is baled into manageable bales/logs for more cost-effective transport.
Hydraulic Grapples
Unloading your vehicle is a snap with our Scrapmaster precision grapple.
Magnet System
Speed is the objective here. Our powerful magnets clear your load in seconds.
In addition to our scrap specific machinery, General Recycling
employs a separate fleet of heavy-duty Loaders, Bobcats, and Fork-lifts to keep
our operation running smoothly each and every day.
Safety Is Key...
With a strong commitment to health and safety standards, you can be assured that
every precaution is taken to uphold our strict operational guidelines.
